Orrick man injured in Truman Lake boating accident
Larry L. Johnson, 54, of Orrick, was moderately injured at 2:10 p.m.Tuesday in a Benton County boating accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Virgil l. Johnson, of Richmond, was boating south on a 1994 Playcraft pontoon boat at the G3 mile marker of Truman Lake when his boat experienced mechanical issues and lurched forward. This caused the seat of passenger Johnson to slip backward, ejecting him and causing him to impact the railing.
It is unknown if Johnson was wearing a life preserver. He was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
