Two injured in Johnson accident

Veronica L. Dobbs, 34, and Timmothy G. Rhoton, 35, both of Knob Noster, both received moderate injuries at 4:50 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rhoton was driving south on Route 23 in a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 when he hydroplaned and spun into a ditch, overturning several times before coming to rest.

Both occupants were wearing their seat belts and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Knob Noster man in serious condition after Johnson accident

Lee G. Thomas, 47, of Knob Noster, sustained serious injuries at 5:34 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lee was driving west on NE 75 Road when he traveled off the right side of the road into a creek and struck a tree.

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Thomas was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Grain Valley man in serious condition after ATV accident

Michael D. McDonald, 30, of Grain Valley, sustained serious injuries at 12:01 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, McDonald was driving west on SW 800 Road when he struck a dirt mound, causing the vehicle to overturn, ejecting the driver. He was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District.

McDonald was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

13-year-old in serious condition after ATV accident

A 13-year-old boy from Sedalia sustained serious injuries at 2:40 p.m. Friday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the boy was in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 65 when he turned quickly, causing the vehicle to overturn.

He was not wearing a helmet and was transported by air ambulance to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
