Four Sedalians hurt in Benton accident

Galina V. Popa, 24, Vera V. Popa, 27, Lyubov Y. Popa, 51, and Vasily I. Popa, 53, all of Sedalia, received minor injuries at 9:06 a.m. Sunday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred as a 2018 Toyota driven by Vasiliy Popa was traveling south on U.S. Highway 65 north of Route HH and slowed for a right-hand turn. A 2010 Ford driven by Andy R. Schlaback, 47, of Sweet Springs, overtook and struck Popa’s vehicle in the rear.

Everyone was wearing seat belts, the Popas were transported to the Bothwell Regional Medical Center.

Warrensburg juvenile hurt in Johnson accident

A 17-year-old female from Warrensburg received minor injuries at 12:30 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Curtis E. Truelove, 78, of Warrensburg, was pointed north on Route 13 and was stopped for traffic when struck by a 2015 Dodge Dart driven by the 17-year-old.

She was reportedly wearing a seat belt and was transported by personal vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Gravois Mills woman hurt in Morgan accident

Tasa N. Frehse, 43, of Gravois Mills, sustained minor injuries at 9:10 a.m. Monday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2005 Pontiac G6 and made a left turn onto Route 52 from Route 135 and pulled into the path of a 2020 Toyota RAV4 driven by Aaron J. Clanck, 27, of Kansas City.

Clanck was wearing his seat belt. Frehse was not and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo Ambulance District.
