Warrensburg man killed in head-on accident

Jeffrey S. Shuey, 65, of Warrensburg, was killed and Logan S. Clemmons, 33, of Warrensburg, suffered minor injuries at 5:52 p.m. March 6 in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shuey was driving a 2007 Ford Focus west on Montserrat Park Road when he crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Clemmons head-on.

Clemmons was wearing a seat belt and Shuey was not. He was pronounced dead by Battalion Chief Bobby Edwards. Clemmons was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Two from Kingsville seriously injured in rollover

Caleb A. Foose, 28, and Colt D. Warren, 29, both of Kingsville, were seriously injured at 10:07 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Foose was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram south on Southwest 200th Road when he crested a hill. The vehicle began to slide, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting the occupants who were not wearing seat belts.

Foose was transported by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Colt was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Four transported after Morgan County crash

Kenneth D. Witherell, 37, of Barnett, a 16-year-old girl from Eldon and a 15-year-old boy from Eldon suffered minor injuries and a 16-year-old girl from Eldon suffered moderate injuries at 8:14 a.m. in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Witherell was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe south on Route AA, north of Carriage Lane, when he failed to negotiate a turn. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit multiple fences and an embankment.

Everyone but Witherell was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
