California man hurt in Moniteau crash
A California man received moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11:30 a.m. March 15 in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael C. Ponder, 67, was northbound on state Route 87 south of Gier Road in a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, went airborne, and came to rest in a ditch.
Ponder, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.
