Lincoln man hurt in Benton County accident

Jimmy Cooper, 49, of Lincoln, sustained minor injuries at 7:35 a.m. Sunday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cooper was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey north on Hunt Avenue when he lost control on the gravel, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Blackwater man in serious condition after racetrack accident

Andrew B. Zeller, 38, of Blackwater, sustained serious injuries at 9:50 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Zeller was driving a 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo north on the Central Missouri Speedway and failed to negotiate a curve. He traveled off the racetrack, and his vehicle became airborne and began to overturn, striking several trees.

Zeller was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Life Flight Eagle air ambulance to the University of Kansas Hospital.

Odessa woman injured in Johnson accident

Kayla L. Gee, 31, of Odessa, sustained moderate injuries at 11:27 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, driver Justin A. East, 37, of Odessa, noticed a side-by-side traveling south near the center of the roadway and steered to the right in an attempt to avoid a collision. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

East and Gee were both wearing seat belts. Gee was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Motorcycle accident leaves Holden women in serious condition

Kenneth L. Berryman, 44, of Holden, sustained minor injuries, and April A. Keys, 35, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 1:51 a.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Berryman was driving a 1988 Honda motorcycle east on Highway 2 when he traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned, and both occupants were ejected.

Neither Berryman nor Keys were wearing helmets. Berryman was driven to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by private vehicle. Keys was transported to Research Medical Center by Life Flight Eagle air ambulance.

One killed, one in serious condition after ATV accident

Sharon K. Bemboom, 69, of Bates City, was killed and Robert D. Bush, 69, of Kingsville, sustained serious injuries at 4:13 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when Bush was driving a 1990 John Deere Gator west in the 1600 block of Northwest 200th Road when the vehicle overturned.

Bemboom was pronounced dead by EMT Jennifer Riviera at 4:47 p.m. Bush was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Johnson County Ambulance District. Neither occupant was wearing a safety device.

Centertown man killed in Moniteau accident

Rickey L. Reed, 63, of Centertown, was killed Sunday morning in a Moniteau County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Reed was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger west on Little Moniteau Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and traveled off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck two fence posts and a tree, and overturned.

The exact time of the crash is unknown. Reed was pronounced deceased at the scene by Assistant Coroner Brad Friedmeyer at 9:20 a.m. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Gravois Mills woman drowns after driving into Lake of the Ozarks

Floy M. Beard, 80, of Gravois Mills, was killed at 2:47 p.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Floyd was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox north on a private drive, Clover Road, approximately 110 feet off of Cole Road, when she lost control due to an unknown reason and traveled into the Lake of the Ozarks.

Beard was located floating in the water at 7 a.m. and pronounced dead at 8 a.m. by Hunter Denman with the Morgan County Coroner's Office.

Versailles woman hurt in Morgan County rollover

Shelly A. Hammond, 61, of Versailles, sustained minor injuries at 1:05 a.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hammond was driving a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe west on Route C when she traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a culvert, became airborne, struck the ground and rolled over.

Hammond was wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson City.

Sedalia bicyclist injured in Pettis County hit-and-run

Seth I. Woolery, 26, of Sedalia, sustained moderate injuries at 2:27 p.m. Sunday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Woolery was driving a bicycle east on McVey Road at Goodwill Chapel Road when he was overtaken by a vehicle that immediately turned right, and was struck by the bicyclist on the passenger side.

Woolery was ejected and came to rest in the roadway. The vehicle left the scene. The cyclist was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by the Pettis County Ambulance District. He was not wearing a helmet.

Sedalia man hurt in Saline accident

Jason T. Argenbright, 48, of Sedalia, sustained minor injuries at 9:35 p.m. Saturday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Argenbright was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima south on the eastbound I-70 off-ramp to south U.S. Highway 65 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a reflector post, then the tree line.

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Saline County Ambulance District.
