Independence woman hurt in Johnson three-car crash

Julie R. Gunter, 44, of Independence, received minor injuries at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gunter was driving a 2005 Honda Accord north on Northeast 950 at state Route 13 when she failed to observe a dump truck turning on to Northeast 950. Gunter's Honda Accord traveled off the right side of the roadway, through a ditch on to Northeast 950, and struck a 1998 Buick LeSabre driven by Nicholas J. Stewart, 42, of Warrensburg, who then struck a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 with no driver identified. 

Gunther was treated on the scene and released. Gunther and Stewart were wearing seat belts. 

Four injured after truck crosses centerline in Moniteau County

Zachary R. Garrison, 32, was moderately injured and Emily B. Garrison, 31, and an infant were seriously injured at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday in a Moniteau County accident. All three are from Russellville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Eric S. Blackwell, 27, of Russellville, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 1999 Honda Accord driven by Zachary Garrison. 

The infant and Blackwell were both wearing safety devices, but Emily and Zachary Garrison were not. 

Zachary Garrison was transported by private vehicle to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. Emily Garrison was flown to University Hospital in Columbia by MU Air Care. Eric Blackwell received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital. The infant male was transported by private vehicle to St. Mary's Hospital.
