Pleasant Valley woman hurt in US 50 deer strike

Danielle S. Colen, 31, of Pleasant Valley, sustained minor injuries at 10:35 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Colen was driving a 2007 Ford Fusion east on U.S. Highway 50 when she hit a deer.

Colen was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Jeff City man seriously injured in Moniteau County crash

Andrew T. Chapman, 33, of Jefferson City, sustained serious injuries at 3:40 p.m. Monday in a Moniteau County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Ford F150 driven by Tyler S. Fairfax, 24, of Jamestown, east on Lookout Trail was stopped to make a left turn onto East Railroad Road. A 2007 Chrysler 300 driven east by Kristian D. Kennedy, 35, of Jefferson City, failed to stop and struck the rear of the Ford.

Fairfax was wearing a seat belt, Kennedy and Chapman were not. Chapman was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.
