Warsaw woman seriously injured in Benton County accident

Sherry A. Nipper, 59, of Warsaw, sustained serious injuries at 10:07 p.m. Friday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Nipper was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala east on Route MM near Clearwater Road when the vehicle crossed the center of the road, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned, striking a tree and a fence.

Nipper was wearing a seat belt and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia.

Warrensburg woman hurt in Johnson accident

Brenda L. Macrae, 59, of Warrensburg, suffered minor injuries at 5:30 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Macrae was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 north on Northwest 671 road at U.S. Highway 50 when she was struck by a 2016 Ford Escape driven by Scott A. Kelso, 53, of Warrensburg, who was traveling south.

Macrae was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Clinton woman hurt in Johnson County accident

Kaleigh D. Hawkins, 34, of Clinton, suffered minor injuries at 6:02 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hankins was driving a Buick LaCrosse south on state Route 13 when she traveled off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected. She traveled off the roadway and her vehicle overturned.

Hankins was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Barnett man suffers serious injuries in Morgan accident

Charles A. Pettipiece, 53, of Barnett, suffered serious injuries at 7:05 p.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Pettipiece was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 north on Ivy Bend Road when he traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, returned to the roadway, and traveled off the left side of the roadway. His vehicle struck an embankment and multiple trees.

Pettipiece was not wearing a seat belt and was flown by Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia.

Two Leeton teens hospitalized after Pettis rollover

A 17-year-old female driver from Leeton and a 16-year-old male occupant from Leeton suffered moderate injuries at 8:40 a.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the driver of a 2008 Kia Spectra was westbound on Route Y when she crossed the center of the roadway and over-corrected. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts. The male was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg and the female was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Blackburn woman in serious condition after Saline County accident

Vernita A. Beumer, 91, of Blackburn, suffered serious injuries at 10:50 a.m. Nov. 6 in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Beverly J. Rolf, 87, of Alma, was driving a 2004 Chrysler south on U.S. Highway 65 when it overtook and struck the rear of a 2014 Jeep driven by John D. Skinner, 49, of Marshall, causing the Jeep to travel off the road and hit a MoDOT sign before coming to rest.

Beumer was transported by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall and then to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Kansas man killed in I-70 head-on accident

Landon G. Vaughn, 18, of Leavenworth, Kansas, was killed, and Robert Marshall, 46, and Willie Campbell, 66, both of Illinois, suffered minor injuries at 8:34 p.m. Saturday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Hyundai Sonata driven east on I-70 by Vaughn traveled off the roadway, through the median cables, spun into oncoming traffic and was struck by a 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven west by Campbell and a 2023 Freightliner driven west by Larry R. Phelps Jr., 47, of Granite City, Illinois.

Vaughn was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene by Saline County Deputy Kichhoff. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if occupant Robert Marshall was wearing a seat belt; he was transported by EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. Campbell was wearing a seat belt and was transported by EMS to Fitzgibbon as well.
