Two injured in Morgan County crash

A 17-year-old male from Stover suffered minor injuries, and Barry L. Zimmerman, 23, of Versailles, suffered moderate injuries at 5:35 p.m. Monday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 1995 Ford F250 driven by Zimmerman west on state Route 52 was stopped partially in the roadway and was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by the teen.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The 17-year-old received medical treatment at the scene. Zimmerman was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Platte City man killed in Saline County crash

Michael P. Stephenson, 19, of Platte City, was killed at 6:45 p.m. Sunday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford F250 driven west by Stephenson on I-70 traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck the guardrail and the driver was ejected into the roadway. He was then struck by a 2024 Freightliner driven west by Brandon J. Lathrop, 22, of Arizona.

Stevenson was pronounced dead by Saline County Coroner Willie Harlow. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Two injured in Saline County rollover

Robert P. White, 67, of Belton, sustained serious injuries, and Charles J. White, 65, of Belton, sustained minor injuries at 7:10 p.m. Sunday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Charles White was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado west on Route H when he began to slide on a curve and over-corrected and the vehicle overturned.

Both men were wearing seat belts and were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Saline County Ambulance District.
