Ulman Woman in serious condition after Johnson accident 

Kaela A. Sandquist, 18, of Ulman, sustained serious injuries and Johnny R. Fields, 20, of Ulman, sustained minor injuries at 9:33 Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Fields was driving west on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1971 Road in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, and was following too closely behind a 2002 Peterbilt driven by Ray L. Greseth, 26, of Wanamingo, Michigan, when the tractor-trailer slowed to turn right into a business and the Chevrolet struck the back of the truck.

Greseth was wearing a seat belt, however, the two occupants of the Cobalt were not. Sandquist was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Truman Medical Center in Columbia. Fields refused treatment on scene.

Warrensburg pedestrian seriously injured

A Warrensburg woman suffered serious injuries in a vehicle-pedestrian accident at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Tyler L. Courtney, 21, of Oak Grove, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 east of Northwest 271st Road. A pedestrian, Jessica A. Huckaby, 46, crossed U.S. 50 into the path of Courtney’s vehicle.

Huckaby was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
