Two from Holden hurt after Johnson County head-on

Merry J. Mackley, 50, of Holden, sustained minor injuries, and Steven R. Mackley, 71, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 2:49 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ronald L. Williams, 56, of Holden, south on state Route 131 crossed at the center of the roadway and struck a 2004 GMC Envoy driven north by Stephen Mackley.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The Mackleys were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Grain Valley woman hurt in Johnson County accident

Trisha D. Mckenna, 28, of Grain Valley, suffered minor injuries at 4:02 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, McKenna was driving a 2004 Jeep Patriot south on Route T when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck the ditch.

She was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Cass County Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.

Knob Noster man hurt in Johnson County accident

Alice E. Hammonds, 24, Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries at 6:35 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hammonds was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox east on U.S. Highway 50 when he struck an animal in the road.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Sedalia man in serious condition after US 50 motorcycle accident

Zachary K. Monath, 39, of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries at 4:50 p.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Monath was driving a 1984 Harley-Davidson Softail east on U.S. Highway 50 when he struck a patch of standing water and began to skid. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Monath was not wearing a helmet and was transported by University of Missouri air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
