Two from Clinton injured in Henry County accident

Edward L. Hawkins, 66, of Clinton, received moderate injuries, and Chester D. Douthit, 74, of Clinton, received minor injuries at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Douthit south on state Route 7, and a 2016 Honda Civic, also driven south by Tanya R. Intrikin, 34, of Warsaw, were stopped due to a previous crash that was blocking the roadway. A 2010 Chevrolet HHR driven south by Hawkins failed to slow and struck the rear of the Chevrolet, which struck the rear of the Civic.

Hawkins was not wearing a seat belt, though everyone else was. He and Douthit were transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by Golden Valley ambulance.

Clinton man hurt in Henry accident

William J. Griffin, 28, of Clinton, suffered minor injuries at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Griffin was driving a 2005 Dodge Durango south on state Route 7 and struck a deer in the roadway.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Golden Valley ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
