Two injured in a Johnson County accident
Mary B. Menges, 63, of Warrensburg, received serious injuries, and Justin A. Owen, 34, of Holden, received minor injuries at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Honda driven by Menges east on U.S. 50 at Northwest 361 was turning into the crossover when a 2015 Mazda driven east by Owen overtook and struck the rear of her vehicle.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Menges was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Owen was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
