Two from Warrensburg injured in motorcycle-deer accident

Fred W. Niblock, 67, and Ann Niblock, 67, of Warrensburg, received moderate injuries at 11:40 a.m. Saturday in a Henry County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Fred Niblock was driving west on state Route 7 on a 2013 BMW motorcycle when he struck a deer.

Both occupants were wearing helmets and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Lexington man seriously injured in Johnson accident

Christopher A. Shinkle, 54, of Lexington, received serious injuries at 8:43 a.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shinkle was driving north on state Route 13 bypass at state Route HH in a 2019 Ford F150, followed by a 2017 Freightliner by Richard Markovic, 60, of Springfield. When Shinkle slowed, he was struck in the rear by the Freightliner.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Shinkle was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Holden man hurt in Johnson accident 

Joel C. Pemberton, 57, of Holden, received minor injuries at 8:30 a.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Pemberton was driving west on state Route 2 east of Southwest 1101 Road in a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 when a 2020 Ford F350 driven by Cody J. Bruns, 25, of Holden, crossed the center of the roadway and sideswiped Pemberton.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Pemberton was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Marshall man in serious condition after Saline accident

John A. Lapin, 59, of Marshall, was seriously Injured at 6:30 p.m. Friday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lapin was driving west on 116th Trail east of U.S. 65 in a 2014 Nissan when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign and a tree. 

He was wearing a safety device and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Life Flight air ambulance.
