This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 25

10:35 p.m.: Mark W. Balch, 31, of the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested in the 900 block of Winchester Drive for safekeeping. Officers responded to a verbal domestic and upon arrival the male subject, who was intoxicated, became aggressive toward the officers. He was taken into custody and transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center and then to the Pettis County Jail. He was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.  

Nov. 10

11:42 a.m.: Samantha K. Dobnikar, 30, of the 1800 block of South Warren, was arrested for failure to appear and felony resisting/interfering with her arrest. Information was given to the officers that a female subject was inside the home, who had an active Benton County warrant for a FTA for possession. The suspect came down the stairs and began talking to the officer and then ran back up the stairs into a bedroom locking the door behind her. The officer had to force entry into the room. As they entered, the suspect was trying to open a window on the second story to get onto the roof. The suspect was given verbal commands and taken into custody at taser point a short time later. The Benton County warrant was confirmed with no bond. The suspect was transported to Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges.  

Nov. 17

12:56 p.m.: Antonia J. Macon, 33, of the 700 block of West Second Street, was arrested at West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue for driving with a suspended/revoked license. The driver was released with a court summons.

10:12 p.m.: Carl Lee Jacobus, 80, of the 1800 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested on a state charge of Felony DWI Persistent Offender after his truck was stopped at West Ninth Street and South Quincy Avenue for failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. After an investigation, it was determined he was intoxicated. He was taken to the Sedalia Police Department and then to the Pettis County Jail pending release to a sober person.

10:42: Erica B. Cope, 40, of the 900 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was arrested at West Broadway and South State Fair Boulevard for driving while revoked and transported to the Sedalia Police Department for processing. 

11:56 p.m.: Tyral Zachary Sloan, 23, of the 3700 block of New York Avenue, was arrested at West Seventh Street and South Osage Avenue for intoxication by drugs and possession of marijuana. He was transported to a hospital and then to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked, pending release to a sober person. State charges of possession of marihjuana is also being sought. 

Nov. 18

2:43 a.m.: Gloria Rubio Marcos, 38, of the 4200 block of West Main Street, was arrested on a state charge of driving without a license along with an occupant of the vehicle for a failure to appear $60 cash only warrant. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail. The driver was booked and released.

Nov. 14

2:23 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Sutherlands, in the 3800 block of Limit Avenue, in reference to a theft. A male subject took two gas generators from the business and left without paying. 

Nov. 17

9:56 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Olsen Road in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The officer spoke to the victim, who stated that sometime between Nov. 15 and Nov. 17 someone made entry into their unlocked vehicle and stole several items. There are no suspects at this time.

Nov. 14

4:24 p.m.: Robert Anthony Woolery, was arrested in the 3000 block of South Washington Avenue on a felony warrant for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance. 

Nov. 17

9:41 a.m.: Jagpal Gosal was arrested at the Pettis County Sheriff's Office for three Pettis County warrants.

Incidents

Nov. 17

10:08 a.m.: Deputies responded to the 900 block of East Boonville for an attempted assault and property damage.
