Arrests

Dec. 4

2:49 p.m.: Shelby M. Batzel, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 10th Street and South Prospect Avenue. The driver was arrested for a failure to appear warrant for traffic violations out of Cass County. Batzel was taken to the Pettis County Jail for the warrant and received a new charge for driving while intoxicated - alcohol. 

Dec. 8

3:09 p.m.: Kevin A. Murray, 41, of the 2200 block of West Fifth Street ,was arrested after a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard. Murray had a revoked driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold pending charges of driving with a suspended driver's license, felony resisting arrest, identity theft, failure to register a motor vehicle, and no proof of insurance. 

Incidents

Dec. 8

8:24 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to Break Time, 808 E. Broadway Blvd., in reference to a theft that occurred Nov. 16. The complainant reported an unknown male reached behind the counter and stole approximately $700 in scratcher tickets while distracting the cashier.

1:11 p.m.: Officers took a report of a theft that occurred in the 1400 block of East 12th Street. A suspect was identified and a report was completed. 

2:35 p.m.: Officers took a report of theft at End Zone, 3129 W. Broadway Blvd. A victim believed that someone had stolen their ring at the bar. 

Dec. 9

12:29 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Engineer Avenue for a call regarding domestic violence. They gathered the necessary information to generate a 12-hour log.
