This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 12

9:08 p.m.: Cory J. Draper, of the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched for a report of a vehicle swerving all over the road. Draper was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another vehicle in the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Neither party reported any injuries.

Incidents

April 12

9:36 a.m.: A business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported a theft. Police determined the suspect was a juvenile who was located and some items were recovered. The parent of the juvenile was notified of the incident. The case is being forward to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

10:23 p.m.: Keresia Stephen, of the 300 block of McAnally Court, was issued a summons after officers initiated a traffic stop for not using a turn signal near East Pettis Street and North Moniteau Avenue. A check revealed the driver was driving with a suspended license. She was transported to the police department, fingerprinted and released with a City summons for driving while suspended and failure to signal.

April 13

1:30 a.m.: Asia Miles, 31, of the 300 block of West Cooper Avenue, was issued a summons after officers initiated a traffic stop for failure to signal near Engineer Avenue and Pettis Street. A check showed Miles was driving with a suspended license. She was transported to the police department and released with a City summons for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

April 12

3:00 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of McVey Road in Pettis County for an attempt to locate a male suspect for the SPD. The male suspect was located, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Arrests

April 13

12:01 a.m.: Byron A. Guider, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested in Johnson County for driving with a revoked license and receiving stolen property.

7:49 a.m.:  Luke T. Prather, 22, of Pilot Grove, was arrested in Moniteau County for a failure to appear Cooper County warrant (traffic violation) and speeding.
