This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Incidents

Aug. 2

1:56 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a burglary that occurred in the 1200 block of Spring Street. The victim stated a former tenant took tools and other items. The stolen items were recovered and given back to the victim. State charges of burglary and stealing have been submitted to the prosecutor.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Aug. 3

6:15 a.m.: Carrie R. Galloway, 41, of the 1500 block of Crestview Drive, was arrested after the Sedalia Police Department, Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant. Galloway was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, a Kansas City warrant, a Benton County warrant, and a Pettis County warrant.

Incidents

Aug. 2

11:31 a.m.: Deputies took a report for property damage in the 25000 block of Arthur Lane. Damage was reported to a mailbox. There are no suspects.

Aug. 4

3:17 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to gunshots. The area was checked but no victims or property damage was located.

Arrests

Aug. 4

6:39 a.m.: Keion X. Davis, 22, of Warsaw, was arrested in Johnson County for felony driving while intoxicated, speeding, and driving with a revoked driver’s license. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
