This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 28

2:35 a.m.: Calista Jade Keltner, 19, of Florence, was arrested after a vehicle was stopped for failing to move over for emergency vehicles. She failed to stop immediately upon the initiation of the traffic stop at South Limit Avenue and was intoxicated by drugs. Keltner was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated-drugs and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Aug. 3

1:30 p.m.: Catelyn S. Montgomery, 22, of the 2400 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 1100 block of North Limit Avenue in reference to a theft report. Montgomery was allegedly stealing cash from the business instead of putting it in the safe. She was issued a summons for stealing and released.

Aug. 5

1:32 a.m.: Jacob N. Woolery, 36, of the 500 block of East 14th Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near Wilkerson Street and Park Avenue for excessive speed and careless and imprudent driving. Woolery was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked for driving while intoxicated. Charges of excessive speed and careless and imprudent driving have also been requested.

11:02 a.m.: Jacob Marlon Basham, 37, of the 100 block of Villa Drive, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a trespassing complaint. Dispatch advised Basham came into the store, caused a disturbance with an employee and broke a bottle of alcohol. He was later located and resisted arrest. After a short struggle, Basham was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of fourth-degree domestic assault, second-degree harassment, second-degree property damage, and resisting arrest.

10:44 p.m.: Jason Dean Homan, 23, of the 300 block of East Saline Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West 15th Street and South Osage Avenue for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. Homan was intoxicated by drugs and was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending release on state charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.

Aug. 6

1:50 a.m.: Charles Joseph Wansing III, of the 1600 block of Ninth Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for failing to maintain a lane. Wansing was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked for driving while intoxicated - prior offender.

4:26 a.m.: Guadalupe Chavez, 21, of the 700 block of McVey Road, was arrested after being stopped for moving violations near East Fifth Street and New York Avenue. Chavez was intoxicated and a minor occupant was in possession of alcohol. Both were arrested. Chavez was cited for driving while intoxicated and the occupant was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.

12:24: Timothy Glen Mull, 53, of the 1200 block of Deseret Drive, was arrested after officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Mull was taken into custody without incident and transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a fit for confinement, then the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a formal charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

10:44 p.m.: Carol R. Gann, 55, of the 300 block of West 10th Street, was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance. The caller reported his neighbor had been continuously yelling and creating unnecessary noise. Gann was contacted and warned but was arrested a short time later for continued peace disturbance. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked for peace disturbance and placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.

Incidents

Aug. 4

7:07 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a medical dispatch. Police found a male subject in a room unresponsive. They administered two doses of Narcan and the subject regained consciousness and was treated by the Pettis County Ambulance District.

Aug. 5

2:24 a.m.: The K-9 unit assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle stop at West Broadway Boulevard and South Beacon Avenue. K9 Rocky was deployed for a free air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the odor of drugs. A probable cause search resulted in the seizure of items related to illegal drug activity.

Aug. 6

12:01 a.m.: Officers responded to Albright Court for an injured cat. The animal had to be put down by officers.

5:43 a.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard for a report of assault and theft. The victim reported being spat on by another employee, who then took an unknown amount of money from the cash register and left.

6:15 p.m.: Sedalia police responded to the 2300 block of South Missouri Avenue for an assault. It was determined one subject assaulted another subject. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Arrests

Aug. 4

5:03 p.m.: Sergio Medina, 48, of Marshall, was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended driver's license. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.

11:32 p.m.: Kabe A. Reynolds, 18, of Oak Grove, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive in a single lane. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

Aug. 5

2:39 a.m.: Heather Borgstadt, 37, of St Louis, was arrested in Pettis County for felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

11:20 p.m.: Ernest D. Baker, 35, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.

Aug. 6

10:34 a.m.: Shaun C. Blauvelt, 42, of Fayette, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.

6:33 p.m.: Michael R. Johnson, 67, of Deepwater, was arrested in Benton County for felony driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.

10:17 p.m.: Garrett F. Schroeder, 30, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and speeding 20 to 25 mph over the limit. He was transported to the Johnson County Detention Center and released.
