This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Nov. 24

3:09 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue in reference to a vehicle break-in. They attempted to contact the vehicle's owner but were unsuccessful. They attempted contact with the reporting party but were unable to reach them by phone or at the residence. A general information report was submitted.

Incidents

Nov. 28

9:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of East Third Street in reference to a burglary. The caller said when he returned home, he found his residence had been burglarized and reported $568.90 worth of collectibles had been stolen. No arrests have been made.

Nov. 29

1:07 p.m.: Officers received a report by phone for a missing person from the 1600 block of South Prospect Avenue. Information was gathered from the reporting party and the report was completed.

Arrests

Nov. 28

Midnight: Deputies located an occupied stolen vehicle near U.S. Highway 50 and Plaza Drive. The vehicle pulled into a business parking lot in the 3100 block of South Limit Avenue, and the occupants got out. They were arrested and contact was made at the driver's room with a third-party subject. Management requested all subjects be removed. Deputies searched and located methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. The driver of the stolen vehicle, Chelsea Klein, 30, of Sedalia was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of first-degree tampering, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger of the vehicle, Evan Bankovich, 29, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of stealing a motor vehicle and second-degree tampering. Charges are being sought against the third subject, Robert Bower, 38, of Sedalia, for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

Nov. 29

8:30 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Villa Drive for an assault report. Contact was made with a male and female and after investigation, the man was arrested for fourth-degree assault and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

Nov. 28

7:02 p.m.: Hailey D. Zimmerman, 35, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail.

Nov. 29

1:14 p.m.: Travis M. Galloway, 41, of Gravois Mills, was arrested in Morgan County for a Laclede County misdemeanor warrant, speeding, no insurance, and driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
