This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
7:23 p.m.: Carlie Rea Helms, 30, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South State Fair Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. Helms had refused to leave the residence and was in violation of an order of protection. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of violation of a full order of protection and first-degree trespassing.
1:15 p.m.: Samuel Aaron Bartlett, 39, of the 1800 block of Beacon Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for no headlights near West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. Bartlett had a revoked driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
2:19 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the SPD lobby for a potential theft report. A victim reported she was potentially charged more for service than originally agreed upon.
2:51 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report in the lobby of the police department. The victim stated they were scammed out of $642 by somebody claiming to be with Spectrum. The victim believed they were paying a bill with prepaid credit cards.
9:52 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of East 16th Street in reference to a vehicle theft report. They gathered information for the report.
10:31 a.m.: Scott Doss, 35, of Hamilton, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated - prior offender and speeding. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
2:37 p.m.: Amanda J. Loar, 41, of Missouri City, was arrested in Morgan County for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and released.
11:13 a.m.: Leonardo I. Catalan Rodriguez, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving with a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
