This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Feb. 14

3:57 a.m.: James Allen Ray Roberts, 37, of the 1400 block of South Beacon Avenue, and Marilyn M. Bane, 48, of the 200 block of East 13th Street, were arrested after a vehicle stop at South Limit Avenue and Tiger Pride Boulevard for improper lane usage. Driver Roberts was intoxicated by drugs and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and for the driver, driving while intoxicated - drugs.

8:28 a.m.: Danielle M. Wilson, 41, of St. James, was arrested after a traffic stop for a person known to have active warrants at the entrance to the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Passenger Wilson had four active warrants and was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with an additional charge of drug possession.

11:06 p.m.: Bobby Ray Waddle Jr., 21, of the 1700 block of West Third Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop for red license plate lights. Waddle stated his driving status had been revoked and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

Feb. 13

1:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a report of fraud. information was gathered to generate a report. The suspect has not been located at this time.

Feb. 14

11:04 a.m.: A subject came to the police department lobby to report a suspicious person. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who said that back in December, she encountered a male subject that made her uncomfortable. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

3:02 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1300 block of West Main Street for a report of property damage. Someone cut a chain link fence and a lock to one of the storage units. The renter of the storage unit did not find anything stolen. The estimated damage was $110. There are no suspects at this time.

8:49 p.m.: A victim in the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue reported damage to a vehicle while parked. The type of damage is unknown at this time.

Incidents

Feb. 15

10:49 p.m.: Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and West 10th Street. The driver was found in possession of an illegal controlled substance. He was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges.

Arrests

Feb. 14

6:35 p.m.: William J. Griffin, 27, of Clinton, was arrested in Benton County for felony assault on law enforcement, felony resisting arrest, and felony failure to obey. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
