This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 22

10:27 a.m.: Juan A. Marin-Nieves, 25, of the 1700 block of South Montgomery Avenue, was arrested after officers observed a vehicle driving south on the northbound one-way street in front of Smith-Cotton Junior High School. Marin-Nieves had no driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a municipal citation.

8 p.m.: Anthony E. Hilbert, 23, of Warrensburg, was arrested after officers observed a vehicle with defective license plate lights and expired registration in the 2500 block of West 16th Street. A traffic stop and consent search located what was believed to be methamphetamine in the vehicle. Hilbert was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Feb. 23

1:59 a.m.: Aulinie Ed Colvin, 48, of the 1100 block of East 15th Street, was arrested after a subject check in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Colvin was driving while intoxicated and had drug paraphernalia with methamphetamine residue inside. Colvin was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center and then the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of DWI-drugs, drug possession-synthetic narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

Feb. 21

4:40 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West 14th Street for a physical disturbance. They gathered information from the victim and determined the suspect had fled the scene prior to officers arrival. A report was completed and charges were submitted to the prosecutor.

Feb. 22

11:46 a.m.: A report was called in to the police department of a package theft in the 900 block of Winchester Drive. Officers called the reporting party, gathered pertinent information, and a report was completed.

Feb. 23

3:09 a.m.: Officers responded to a possible overdose in the 2600 block of Graham Drive. The reporting party let officers in to investigate and they found empty pill bottles, which the subject claimed they ingested. The Pettis County Ambulance District transported the subject to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Arrests

Feb. 22

8:24 p.m.: Morgan Hawkins was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop at East Broadway Boulevard and New York Avenue on a vehicle with no license plates. They requested the assistance of Sedalia Police K9 Rocky, who alerted positively in an open-air sniff. A probable cause search of the vehicle found methamphetamine. Hawkins, an occupant, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Arrests

Feb. 22

4:22 p.m.: John H. Dunham, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for misdemeanor resisting arrest. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
