Dec. 11

3:00 p.m.: Ezekiel Paul Ellsworth, 26, of the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard, was arrested after a thorough investigation and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of child abuse with serious physical injury and first degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Dec. 13

3:22 p.m.: Officers responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd., for a theft report. On Dec. 7, suspects entered the store and exited with approximately $800 in merchandise. They remain unidentified at this time.

5:49 p.m.: Officers responded to Menards, 4400 Wisconsin Ave., for a theft report. Management stated a male subject entered the store, gathered items and left without paying. The total value of stolen items was $135. The suspect is unknown at the time of the report.

Dec. 14

8:37 p.m.: Timothy J. Budig, 51, of the 600 block of East 12th Street, was arrested after officers responded to the 100 block of West Main Street for a possible assault in progress. The suspect had fled the scene in an unknown direction but the victim provided a statement and officers checked the area located Budig walking down South Ohio. After a positive identification from the victim he was transported to Bothwell for a fit of confinement and then to the Pettis County Jail with a fourth-degree assault charge.

10:24 p.m. Anthony Rojas, 21, of the 2500 block of Kay Avenue, was arrested after officers responded for an assault in progress. Rojas fled on foot through the rear of the residence. A short while later he was located and fled from officers on foot. They were able to take the subject into custody without incident and Rojas was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of endangering the welfare of a child, domestic assault, resisting arrest, a failure to appear, and three outstanding warrants.

Incidents

Dec. 13

10:27 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of harassing phone calls. They arrived, gathered information and wrote a report.

1:19 p.m.: Officers responded to the lobby of the police department in reference to damage to a vehicle that occurred in the 1900 block of South Quincy Avenue on Dec. 8. The reporting party provided information which was collected for a report.

7:22 p.m.: Officers responded to Walmart, 3201 West Broadway Blvd., for a theft report from Dec. 7. Suspects entered the store and exited with approximately $800 in merchandise. They were unidentified at the time of the report.

11:56 p.m.: Officers took a dog bite report from the Bothwell emergency room. Information for the report was collected.

Dec. 14

4:17 p.m.: Officers took a report from the 2000 block of Tiger Pride Boulevard regarding fraud/deception. They spoke with a reporting party on the phone and collected information to be submitted for a report.
