This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 10

11:50 p.m.: Michael Anthony Fillicetti, 40, of the 1800 block of South Prospect Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near West 18th Street and South Prospect Avenue. He was recognized as having a suspended driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Jan. 11

12:34 a.m.: Jeremy Altis, 19, of Lincoln, was arrested after a traffic stop near West 16th Street and South Beacon Avenue for expired plates. It was determined the driver was intoxicated and Altis was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked for driving while intoxicated - drugs, and released.

11:44 a.m.: Garrett L. Medlock, 21, of Niangua, was stopped near West Broadway Boulevard and South Beacon Avenue. He was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license and released.

Jan. 13

12:14 p.m.: Patrick R. Jones, 33, of Ionia, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a property damage report. The suspect damaged a tabletop by scratching it into the wood with a knife. The estimated value was $500. Jones was identified and issued a court summons for destruction of non-city property.

8:37 p.m.: Shayla K. Russell, 29, of the 400 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested after officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted and Russell was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance.

10:10 p.m.: Ron Eddleman, 41, of the 30000 block of Ball Road, was arrested after a vehicle stop for excessively dark window tint at East 13th Street and South Lamine Avenue. It was discovered he had a revoked driver's license. Eddleman was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Jan. 14

1:15 a.m.: Rachel A. Taylor, 33, of Centerview, was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding on West Main Street near Oak Grove Lane. Taylor was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a charge of driving while intoxicated - alcohol.

5:19 a.m.: Kieon Xzavier Davis, 21, of Warsaw, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue for a vehicle that was sitting in the roadway. The driver appeared to be asleep and was determined to be intoxicated. Davis was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked for driving while intoxicated - alcohol and released.

1:55 p.m.: Elizabeth E. Echols, 21, of the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stopped near the intersection of Clinton Road and Erika Avenue. Echols was arrested for having a suspended license and issued a City summons.

6:55 p.m.: Denise Elizabeth Miller, 44, of the 1500 block of East Sixth Street, was issued a summons after officers were phoned for an animal complaint. They gathered information to generate a report of the incident and Miller was issued a citation for dogs chasing, barking, and annoying others.

11:16 p.m.: Santiago Waldo Herrera, 43, of the 1800 block of Stewart Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue in reference to a vehicle in a ditch. Herrera was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated.

Jan. 15

2:56 a.m.: Dung Quang Tran, 42, of the 800 block of Thompson Boulevard, was arrested after officers were dispatched for a physical domestic disturbance. Tran was the primary physical aggressor and was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree domestic assault.

8:59 p.m.: Tristan D. Fizer, 25, from the 1600 block of Heck Avenue, was arrested after an officer responded to the 3300 block of West 10th Street in reference to an assault that occurred earlier in the day at a different location. The officer spoke with the victim, who stated they were assaulted by a man known to them. The suspect was located later in the day and was arrested for second-degree domestic assault, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Jan. 16

12:57 a.m.: Brandon L Paxton, 30, of Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop for no license plate lights. Paxton was seen throwing items from the vehicle and was arrested for tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and felon in possession of a firearm. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Incidents

Jan. 13

9:15 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue in reference to a theft report. A suspect came into the store on multiple occasions and stole approximately $2,179 in merchandise.

9:18 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to an assist agency report. A firearm was reported stolen from Miller County and passed through the pawn shop. A report was completed and forwarded to the appropriate agencies.

10:41 a.m.: Officers took a report of theft from a business in the 800 block of South Limit Avenue. Someone who identified themselves as a representative from the company’s fraud department convinced an employee to wire transfer $8,080. The company was able to place a stop on the transfer and receive the money back.

11:36 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1100 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a forgery attempt. A customer attempted to pay for their meal with a fake $100 bill. The suspect left the store prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

2:49 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The victim stated someone stole a bicycle out of their garage.

5:01 p.m.: An officer took a report for a possible forgery at a business in the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue. A report was started to document the incident, follow up is required.

Jan. 14

8:40 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Employees reported theft of items from the store. Video was obtained and a suspect was identified. Charges will be submitted to the State prosecutor.

Jan. 15

6:48 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to West 13th Street and South Ohio Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The driver said a suspect vehicle hit him and drove off. No arrests were made.

Arrests

Jan. 13

7:03 p.m.: Deputies took a report of damage to a community mailbox in the area of Robin Lane in Pettis County. There were no leads or suspects.

Jan. 14

4:50 a.m.: Juan Nando-Paulino, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue for a vehicle with a defective license plate light. He had a revoked driving status and was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

7:00 a.m.: Deputies took a report of theft of money in the 3000 block of Brooking Park in Pettis County. The investigation continues.

Jan. 16

5:10 p.m.: Nicholas R. Skidmore, 35, of El Dorado Springs, was arrested in Henry County for a felony Johnson County warrant, failure to register a motor vehicle, and driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
