This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 2

10:55 p.m.: Richard Michael K. Romero, 40, of the 1600 block of West 18th Street, was arrested after officers received a call regarding a hit-and-run accident near West Broadway Boulevard and South Park Avenue. They located the suspect and he was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Charges are being sought for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a revoked license.

Jan. 5

11:27 a.m.: Akeisha Denise Sims, 31, of the 500 block of West Jefferson Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of theft. Managers of the property reported Sims failed to pay for services valued at $65. Officers spoke with the suspect, who was escorted from the business. Sims was later released from custody with a municipal summons for theft.

11:35 p.m.: Bailey Lee Harris, 33, of the 20000 block of Palmer Road, was arrested after being stopped for improper lane usage and no plate lights. Paris was intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and released to a sober person.

Jan. 7

1:24 a.m.: Christina Marie Langley, 51, of the 1400 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East 14th Street and South Engineer Avenue for failing to dim headlights. Langley was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of driving while intoxicated.

3:23 a.m.: Danny Eugene Cosby, 61, of the 900 block of West Third Street, was arrested after an SUV was stopped for failing to signal a turn and suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Cosby was arrested for DWI - persistent offender.

6:50 p.m.: Arnoldo Paau Tec, 39, of the 700 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested after a concerned citizen reported a possibly impaired driver near West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for a lane violation and the driver was found to be impaired. He was arrested for no driver's license and driving while intoxicated.

11:23 p.m.: Marvin Manuel Caal Bac, 21, of the 100 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested after officers received a call regarding an accident near the 900 block of South Missouri Avenue. The suspect was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license.

Incidents

Jan. 5

10:53 a.m.: Officers responded to 2500 West Main Street in reference to vandalism. They made contact with the reporting party, who gave a statement and they photographed the damage. A report was submitted.

2:05 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of South State Fair Boulevard in reference to an assault that occurred the previous day. The victim was assaulted by an unknown subject and a report was made of the incident. No suspects have been identified.

Jan. 6

11:47 a.m.: A victim from the 800 block of West Third Street reported a handgun valued at $800 was stolen from his vehicle.

Jan. 7

11:15 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3500 block of Green Ridge Road for a theft report. They gathered information from a victim and a report was completed.
