This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 20

11:36 p.m.: Ezekiel Paul Ellsworth, of the 2700 block of Meadow Wood Drive, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue for speeding. Ellsworth was intoxicated, and was issued a traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated. He was released to a sober driver.

July 22

10:26 p.m.: Joshua Allan Couch, 41, of the 1900 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and Airport Road for not properly displaying a registration plate and failing to maintain a lane. Couch was intoxicated, and during a search of the vehicle, a small bag of cocaine was located. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated and possession of cocaine.

July 23

2:32 a.m.: Jeff Sango, 32, of the 400 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle observed failing to maintain a lane near West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue. Sango was intoxicated and was transported to the police department, issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated, and released.

July 24

5:34 a.m.: Brandon Nicholas Bom, 31, of the 100 block of Dundee Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched for a report regarding a past domestic disturbance situation. Officers gathered enough information to generate a report and arrest the suspect. Bom was booked and released for fourth-degree domestic assault and stealing.

Incidents

July 24

8:59 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a property damage report. The complainant stated when she came into work, she noticed a window was broken. There were no signs of forced entry or any other damage. No suspect has been identified.

July 25

9:50 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West Seventh Street for a report of theft. Contact was made with the victim, who stated that over the past three months, someone took her Social Security money totaling $2,550.

July 24

3:32 p.m.: Deputies took a report of a possible firearm brandished near the 1300 block of East Boonville Road. No one was hurt, statements were collected, and the case was investigated.

July 25

5:06 p.m.:Kelly J. Gilmore, 56, of Windsor, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
