This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 6

10:58 a.m.: Nathan P McMillan, 24, of the 400 block of East 27th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Babcock Avenue. McMillan was arrested for driving with a revoked driver's license, possession of methamphetamine, and three different types of controlled pills. Charges have also been requested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, failure to operate a motor vehicle without operable taillights, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and displaying the license plates of another person.

Incidents

July 1

2:09 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of East 18th Street regarding a disturbance with weapons. The victim stated the suspect had raised a brick in a threatening manner to them, made various threats, and used the brick to cause property damage to a vehicle belonging to the victim. The suspect left upon learning the police were responding. Efforts to contact the suspect proved unsuccessful.

July 6

2:17 p.m.: A report was taken in the 2100 block of South Limit Avenue regarding several stolen items. Nine items were stolen with an aggregate value of $1,400. The complainant also reported a vehicle had been damaged, which would take approximately $300 to repair. There is no suspect information at this time.

5:33 p.m.: A victim reported her firearm was stolen from her home in the 400 block of East Sixth Street on July 1. The victim wished to pursue charges and a report was made.

8:27 p.m.: Officers responded to the parking lot of a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The caller stated he was sideswiped by another vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard. After the accident, the suspect pulled over but then fled before exchanging information. The suspect is unknown at this time.

Arrests

July 7

3:25 a.m.: Daniel L. Goodman, 25, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated-prior offender and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and released.
