This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 16

9:50 p.m.: Zachary Pulliam, 23, of Timber Ridge Drive, was arrested after being observed speeding west on Highway Y near Hedge Apple Drive. A deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle turned onto Timber Ridge Drive, doused its lights and attempted to flee. A pursuit around Timber Ridge Drive found Pulliam trying to conceal his vehicle in his garage. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of resisting arrest by fleeing-creating a substantial risk to the public.

June 17

6:25 p.m.: Leslie Harrell, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue on a vehicle with no front license plate. Harrell was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for driving with a suspended license.

June 18

12:12 a.m.: Christopher Hamblin, 50, of Kansas City, was arrested after a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a vehicle that traveled outside its lane. Hamblin had no valid driver's license and two active warrants out of Lee's Summit. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving without a license and the warrants. Jail staff located a crystalline substance on Hamblin's property that field tested positive for methamphetamine. He was placed on a 24-hour hold pending an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance.

June 19

1:01 a.m.: Michael Yac Rosales, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to maintain its own lane as well as speeding. The driver refused to stop, leading the deputies on a brief pursuit. Rosales was intoxicated and had no driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of resisting arrest by fleeing, driving while intoxicated, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Arrests

June 16

12:30 p.m.: Billy R. Matheny, 57, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for five counts of possession of child pornography. He was transported to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.

June 17

2:25 a.m.: Lawrence P. Covalo Jr., 58, of Gravois Mills, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated and failure to obey a traffic control device. He was released with a summons.

3:24 p.m.: Gordell E. Poindexter, 32, of Liberty, was arrested in Johnson County for felony driving with a suspended license, driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in a single lane, and failure to equip the vehicle with a mirror to the rear. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

June 18

3:37 a.m.: Jerome S. Bartee, 29, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, a lane violation, and no insurance. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

June 19

7:09 p.m.: Terrell L. Edwards, 41, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm, driving with a revoked license, and possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Saline County Detention Center and released.

11:59 p.m.: David L. Sidwell, 53, of Garden City, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was released.
