This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 24

7:40 a.m.: Juan Nandho-Paulino, 45, of the 800 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Harrison Avenue. The driver had a revoked driver's license and was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He was booked and released pending State charges.

7:34 p.m.: Jeffrey Eugene Tyler, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 32nd Street and Erika Avenue for no registration. The driver refused to get out of the vehicle and fled. The vehicle was not pursued by officers but was discovered in the area of McCurdy Lane by Pettis County deputies. It had been stolen out of Johnson County and the male subject was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. State charges of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest are being requested. 

Incidents

June 23

6:10 p.m.: An officer spoke with an employee of a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in the police department lobby. The employee stated that a subject who was trespassed from the store was in the store earlier in the day. The suspect was identified but not located and charges are being requested.

June 24

1:13 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Missouri Avenue for a disturbance. When officers arrived they made contact with the caller who stated that approximately 10 to 15 individuals were on her property harassing her. The incident is being investigated.

11:54 a.m.: An officer took a report in the police department lobby regarding theft and forgery. The reporting party stated someone had taken a check from them and attempted to deposit it. The check was valued at $3,279.

1:43 p.m.: A officer took a theft report in the police station lobby. The victim stated fraudulent charges on his bank account from June 13. He also stated the charges were made in Georgia and totaled $1,250.

2:42 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue regarding a theft that occurred on May 28. The suspect stole $2,376.28 worth of merchandise, but the merchandise was recovered.

10:36 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Amtrak station at 108 West Pacific Street in reference to a property damage report. Someone had damaged one of the historic benches inside the station.

June 24

10:09 p.m.: Brian K. Morarity, 37, of Kingsville, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, no insurance, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
