This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Incidents

March 6

4:39 p.m.: A business in the 2600 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported the theft of several items with an overall value of $87.93. The suspect was identified but fled the scene upon police contact. Charges of stealing have been requested.

March 7

9:21 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the police department in reference to fraud in the 1600 block of Country Club Drive. The reporting party said their debit card was stolen and had accrued fraudulent charges. A report was submitted.

March 9

1:19 a.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of East Seventh Street in reference to an assault. They spoke with the reporting party and gathered the information necessary to generate a report.

March 11

1:09 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. They spoke with the victim and gathered pertinent information, reviewed the security system video and completed a report.

6:25 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3400 block of East Broadway Boulevard regarding a subject banned from the property who was trying to buy alcohol. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived, so they spoke with the employee and gathered information for a report. Formal charges are pending.

7:33 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a counterfeit bill. They spoke with the complainant and gathered information for a report.

March 12

2:31 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to items being stolen from a car. They met with the complainant and gathered information for a report.

4:57 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue regarding a motorcycle stolen from the property. They interviewed the victim and gathered information for a report.

Arrests

March 11

2:07 p.m.: Dylan L. Kimberlin, 31, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested in Manitou County for driving with a revoked license - second or third offense, failure to maintain financial responsibility - first offense, and speeding. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and released.

9:05 p.m.: Ella Beknazarova, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
