This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 13

8:05 p.m.: Carlos Ramos-Portillo, 20, of the 600 block of South Lafayette Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving in the dark without headlights. Ramos-Portillo had no driver's license. He was transported to the police station and given a municipal court summons for operating a vehicle without a license.

March 14

6:11 p.m.: Christina Marie Forsee, 36, of the 2000 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers responded to the 600 block of East 10th Street in reference to property damage. The complainant said a female subject had broken a glass door with a beverage bottle. Forsee was identified, later located and issued a municipal citation for destruction of non-city property.

Incidents

March 14

10:30 a.m.: A man came into the police department lobby to report an assault that occurred March 11 at his residence in the 500 block of East 14th Street.

8:24 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Main Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. They gathered information to place a Be On Look Out for the stolen vehicle and generate a report for further investigation.

March 15

2:24 a.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a commercial burglary alarm. The ATM outside the business had been damaged and a large sum of money was stolen. No suspects have been identified.

Arrests

March 14

4:47 p.m.: Andrew G. Fountain, 39, of Green Ridge, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain the right-half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

9:37 p.m.: Nicole A. Chase, 44, of Springfield, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
