This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 22

8:12 p.m.: Angel Escobar, 25, of the 500 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested after an officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Main Street and Gentry Avenue on a vehicle with a defective plate light. Escobar was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated-drugs.

Feb. 23

1:59 a.m.: Aulinie Ed Colvin, 48, of the 1100 block of East 15th Street, was arrested after officers talked with an individual who was driving while intoxicated. After admissions were made and testing was conducted, officers discovered drug paraphernalia with methamphetamine residue inside his vehicle. Colvin was transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while intoxicated-drugs, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 2

9:42 p.m.: Dakota Lairmore, 26, of the 26000 block of Griessen Road, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for operating with no lights and improper lane usage. Lairmore was arrested for driving while intoxicated-drugs, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, failure to maintain financial responsibility and improper lane usage. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

March 3

1:57 a.m.: Izabella M. Oswald, 29, of the 2600 block of Bristol Lane, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue on a vehicle with defective equipment. Oswald was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked for driving while intoxicated-alcohol-drugs and released to a sober driver.

Incidents

March 1

3:47 p.m.: Officers took a report of a burglary in the 600 block of East 19th Street. Information was gathered for the report.

4:15 p.m.: Officers were dispatched for a theft report at a business in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The victim was contacted via phone at their request, information was gathered, and a report was completed.

5:07 p.m.: Officers were dispatched for a report of property damage at a business in the 3100 block of West 10th Street. The reporting party was contacted via phone at their request. Information was gathered and a report was completed.

7:18 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a theft that occurred earlier in the day. They met the reporting party and were able to obtain camera footage of the theft. A suspect was identified and charges have been submitted.

March 3

9:31 a.m.: Officers took a theft report at a business in the 3800 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A license plate was reportedly stolen off of a vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects have been identified at this time.

March 4

12:26 a.m.: An officer performed a traffic stop for a defective headlight near West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue. The driver was in possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, which was seized. No charges were requested.

March 1

9:42 p.m.: Stephen C. Rosebush, 67, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.

March 2

3 a.m.: Logen R. Oldham, 18, of Syracuse, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a lane. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
