This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 14

11:56 p.m.: John Anthony Lamb, 53, of the 33000 block of Welliver Road, was arrested after a traffic stop near east of Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue on a vehicle that was involved in a shooting. Investigation determined Lamb was intoxicated and he was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Nov. 17

10:29 p.m.: Quamiar Stovall, 19, of Bridgepoint, Connecticut, and Daniel Charles, 18, of Kansas City, were arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Management reported a group of males came into the store and two of them attempted to leave the store without paying for items. The suspects were stopped but fled the area when the police were called. They were located and arrested with a total of $104 in stolen goods.

Nov. 18

9:27 p.m.: Nolan Ryan Smith, 44, of the 200 block of South State Fair Boulevard, was arrested after officers responded to the 2500 block of Dennis Road in reference to a domestic assault. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated a man known to her kicked in the door and assaulted her. He fled the scene but was later located and arrested. Smith was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of third-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, first-degree burglary and second-degree property damage.

10:47 p.m.: Jeremy Butts, 41, of Kearney, was arrested after a traffic stop near West 16th Street and South State Fair Boulevard on a vehicle driving without headlights and not displaying a front registration plate. Butts was intoxicated and he was transported to the Sedalia police department, issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated and released.

Nov. 19

1:43 a.m.: Ashley Sarah Marie Jones, 23, of the 600 block of East 11th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle for lane violations near East Broadway Boulevard and South Arlington Avenue. Jones was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of driving while intoxicated.

7:58 p.m.: Tiffany Leeann Fretueg, 30, of the 400 block of Welch Court, was arrested after a traffic stop for not displaying registration plates at South Engineer Avenue and East Seventh Street. It was determined Fretueg was intoxicated and during a search of the vehicle, four prescription pills were located in a wrapper inside a cigarette box. The pills were identified as a controlled substance and Fretueg was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while intoxicated - drugs and possession of a controlled substance.

Nov. 13

4:06 p.m.: An officer responded to a business parking lot in the 600 block of East 14th Street in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The victim said one of the vehicles involved fled the scene without providing information. A suspect was identified through investigation and state charges are being sought.

Nov. 18

10:19 a.m.: A woman came into the SPD lobby to report her debit card was used without her permission.

11:32 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a property damage report in the 400 block of East Seventh Street. The victim said someone known to them threw a cinder block through a window on their truck.

5:44 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue in reference to a theft report. They spoke with the manager, who provided all the necessary information.

8:24 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of East 15th Street in reference to an assault. They found a physical altercation had occurred, but no charges are being pursued.

10:13 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 4100 block of West Main Street in reference to a theft report. The reporting party said sometime during business hours, someone stole money from the cash register. No suspects have been identified.

Nov. 19

1:12 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of South Beacon Avenue in reference to a property damage report. The victim stated someone cut a string of their Christmas lights.

1:22 p.m.: A man came into the lobby of the police department to report his firearm was stolen in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.

Nov. 19

8:47 a.m.: A deputy took a report of a damaged mailbox in the 22000 block of Mather Road in Pettis County. The investigation continues.

Arrests

Nov. 17

9:41 p.m.: Abigail G. Frost, 23, of Warsaw, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Benton County. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.

Nov. 18

12:56 a.m.: Jason Espinoza, 25, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, was arrested in Saline County for driving with a revoked license and identity theft. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.

1:15 a.m.: Jesse R. Nevils, 35, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

1:46 a.m.: Keanan S. Casey, 23, of Anchorage, Alaska, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated, failing to maintain the right-half of the roadway and no valid driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

2:34 a.m.: Christopher M. Hawthorne, 25, of Windsor, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and no insurance. He was transported to the Henry County Detention Center and released.

Nov. 20

12:43 a.m.: Marco A. Lopez Candia, 26, of Hildago, Mexico, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
