Arrests

Oct. 19

8:52 p.m.: Josephine Cordelia Merrick, 20, of the 2500 block of North Woodlawn Drive, was arrested after Sedalia police investigated a harassment report in the 900 block of South Quincy Avenue. Merrickā€™s vehicle was stopped at West 14th Street and South Prospect Avenue and the officer found she didn't have a valid driver's license. Merrick was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and given a ticket for driving without a license.

9:43 p.m.: Roger Wayne Lindsey Sr., 59, of the 600 block of East 16th Street, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to maintain a lane. The driver opened the door of the vehicle and officers noticed a baggie containing a crystal substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. Lindsey was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance.

Incidents

Oct. 19

9:45 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run crash near West Broadway Boulevard and South Grand Avenue. Information was collected for a report.

10:23 p.m.: A victim reported unknown suspects stole license plates from her vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
