This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 19

3:59 p.m.: Madison P. Gardner, 21, of the 2200 block of First Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. A suspect was stopped by asset protection after passing the last point of sale with $30 in unpaid items. The business wished to prosecute and Gardner was released on summons.

7:19 p.m.: Hakeem Stefon Dickson, 26, of the 1000 block of Royal Boulevard, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to East Second Street and South Washington Avenue in reference to stolen property. The caller said their phone had been stolen and they were tracking the suspect with the phone. The property was recovered, and Dickson was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of stealing.

Sept. 22

6:02 p.m.: Caine Elijah Jackson, 23, of the 2700 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of East Seventh Street in reference to a disturbance. While investigating, another subject showed up and a second disturbance ensued. Jackson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold. A charge of fourth-degree domestic assault has been submitted.

Sept. 23

12:38 a.m.: Ricardo Miguel Montoya George, of the 400 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle at South Missouri Avenue and West Third Street for overly-tinted windows. George was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving while intoxicated - prior offender.

6:07 p.m.: Caleb Paul Bartlett, 27, of the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after officers received a dispatch in reference to property damage in the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue. A caller reported a subject had been sitting on his porch, looking through windows, and had done an estimated $100 damage to the residence. Bartlett was located, arrested, and placed on a 24-hour hold for property damage and trespassing.

Sept. 24

8:22 p.m.: Rigoberto Huerta, 38, of the 4200 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to West Broadway Boulevard and Winchester Drive for an accident. Huerta had a suspended license and was transported to the police department, booked for driving with a revoked license and no insurance, and released.

10:06 p.m.: Nancy Ann Scribner, 47, of the 400 block of South Walnut Street, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue for expired registration. Scribner had a suspended driver's license. She was issued a municipal citation and released.

Sept. 25

1:33 a.m.: Josephine Cordelia Marek, 20, of the 2500 block of North Woodlawn Drive, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Quincy Avenue. They obtained enough information to issue a summons to Marek for property damage.

Sept. 23

2:59 p.m.: Deputies took a report of harassment in the 20000 block of McCubbin Road in Pettis County. The suspects are unknown and the investigation continues.

Arrests

Sept. 22

11:15 p.m.: Dimitri P. Ovseychuk, 29, of Hughesville, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and a Pettis County warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Sept. 23

2:25 a.m.: Lester W. Martin, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated - persistent offender and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
