This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 27

8:03 p.m.: Pedro A. Rivera Valentin, 60, of the 1500 block of South Harrison Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a disturbance. Valentin was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

10 p.m.: Hakeem Stefon Dickson, 26, of the 1000 block of Royal Boulevard, was arrested after officers responded to the 100 block of East Boonville Street in reference to a theft. The victim said a man stole an item off the front porch. Dickson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of theft and fourth-degree assault.

Incidents

Sept. 27

8:53 a.m.: An officer assisted the Montgomery County (Texas) Sheriff's Office in an ongoing investigation. A report was completed to document the assistance.

11:35 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report in the lobby of the police department. The victim stated he believes his paycheck was being fraudulently manipulated in order to pay him less.

11:36 p.m.: Officers responded to a burglary alarm in the 100 block of South Grand Avenue. They located a broken glass on a window at the business and a check of the exterior found the building secure. Dispatch was unable to reach anyone with management and a general report was completed.

Sept. 28

2:38 a.m.: An officer spoke with a resident in the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard who reported a burglary. They said subjects known to them entered their residence and took items.
