This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 20

6:50 p.m.: Tiffany S. Epp, 41, of the 200 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Epp’s vehicle near South Grand Avenue and West Fifth Street. The officer arrested her on the drug and driving charges and found she had two active Pettis County warrants and a Sedalia municipal warrant.

Oct. 22

1:10 a.m.: Gabriel M. Smith, 23, of the 1300 block of South Barrett Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer found Smith’s license was suspended after stopping his vehicle in the area of South Limit Avenue and West 16th Street.

Incidents

Oct. 20

4:40 a.m.: An officer responded to the 600 block of South Moniteau Avenue for a burglary. The victims said a female suspect entered their residence about 4 a.m. One victim said she locked herself in her room while she heard crashing noises in the residence. She told the officer she came out of her room when the suspect left and noticed her belongings thrown all over the living room. The front door was also wide open.

7:30 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of West Fifth Street to take a theft report. Seven complainants from the 300 to 500 block of West Fifth Street reported someone had gone through their vehicles and took items. Police are investigating the incident.

7:50 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of East 15th Street in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The victims reported multiple items missing from a vehicle parked at the residence. A purse and the contents inside it were missing, including a .40 caliber AMT pistol.

9:45 a.m.: An officer spoke in the police department lobby with a complainant who reported a handgun stolen from his home. The complainant said he believes someone he knows stole the gun.

6:05 p.m.: An officer responded to the 3200 block of South Kentucky Avenue for a theft report. The victim reported the theft of a firearm from a vehicle parked in front of the residence. The gun has a value of about $500.

6:45 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Second Street on a theft report. The reporting person said someone took a moped from his front yard sometime between 11 p.m. the night before and 6 p.m. that day.

Arrests

Oct. 20

2:30 p.m.: Christie L. Wallace, 37, of Overland, was arrested in Saline County on charges of first-degree drug trafficking or attempt and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:30 p.m.: Jeremiah J. Thompson, 40, of St. Louis, was arrested in Saline County on charges of first-degree drug trafficking or attempt, driving with a revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, and failure to use a turn signal. Troopers also served a St. Louis County parole violation warrant.

2:30 p.m.: Elliot W. London, 23, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested in Saline County on charges of first-degree drug trafficking or attempt, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 21

12:30 a.m.: Stephanie M. Lesofski, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.

1:30 a.m.: Debora J. Wilson, 40, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance.

2:30 a.m.: Harley G. Collette, 19, of Marshall, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, lane violation, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, not having car insurance, displaying license plates of another, and driving with a suspended license.

3:50 p.m.: Joseph A. McBee, 28, of Deepwater, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, not having car insurance and not wearing a seat belt.
