Beth Lusk is turned into a human sundae during the Applewood Church VBS program. The boys won a competition this month with the girls to raise money for Sedalia’s Birthright Crisis Pregnancy Center and were given the opportunity to douse Lusk with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate, and strawberry syrup and sprinkles. As a result, the students raised $1,647.89, and an anonymous church donor gave another $1,500.

Jeffthan Glaster and other members of HOSA attend one of the educational symposiums. These were educational workshops on a variety of topics from how to get into medical school to how to do sutures. In this particular one, students used an Anatomage virtual dissection table created using high-quality images of real human cadavers. Each table has a screen that allows students to interact with the 3D cadaver to visualize anatomy exactly as it would be on a fresh cadaver. Students can interact with each body system and perform virtual dissections. In this particular photo, students were examining the effects of gastric cancer on the stomach.
