Arrests

July 19

10:37 p.m.: Fidel Carlos Waldo, 30, of the 700 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested in the 1600 block of West Fifth Street on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle without a valid license. An officer responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident. The suspect vehicle was later located and contact was made with the driver.

Incidents

July 18

2:49 p.m.: A business in the 300 block of North Iron Avenue reported a theft. Video captured a white male walking through the business lot wearing blue shorts and a black shirt. Several items were taken from the business and stashed near a hole found on the northwest part of the property. The value of the theft is $1,160 and a window screen was damaged during the burglary.

July 19

9:35 a.m.: Wiring and a security camera, valued at a total of $4,600, were reported stolen from the 600 block of South Marshall Avenue.

9:21 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Sixth Street to a child abuse incident that occurred near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and West Main Street. The complainant reported a male suspect known to the juvenile victim struck the juvenile in the face, which caused physical injury.

July 18

12:40 p.m.: An inmate at the Pettis County Jail reportedly introduced contraband into the jail and attempted to escape from confinement. Charges are pending.

3:55 p.m.: A possible theft was reported in the 3100 block of Brooking Park Avenue.
