This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 23

10:45 p.m.: Enrique Serna Canesco, 25, of the 700 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. An officer was dispatched to Canesco’s residence for a verbal disturbance. While speaking with the subjects involved, he ran Canesco’s name through dispatch, and he learned the subject had a City of Sedalia warrant. When the officer arrested Canesco, a search reportedly revealed methamphetamine in his pocket.

Aug. 24

8:35 a.m.: Michael R. Fritchey, 36, of Warsaw, was arrested on a felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle. An officer was investigating the possible location of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of East Cooper Street when he spoke with two suspects inside the vehicle in question. He checked the suspects’ names through dispatch and learned both had warrants. The male suspect, Fritchey, had a no-bond warrant from Benton County. Through investigation, the officer found he appeared to be the primary suspect for the stolen vehicle. The officer arrested both suspects.

6:30 p.m.: Cassandra L. Eckhoff, 25, of Cole Camp, received a court summons for a charge of stealing. An officer was dispatched to a store in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The suspect, Eckhoff, was in the store when he arrived. After an investigation, he released Eckhoff with a court summons and recovered the stolen items.

6:40 p.m.: Jameriah Lashae Alexander, 19, of the 600 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested on a charge of second-degree domestic assault. An officer was dispatched to Wilkerson’s residence on a complaint that two family members were physically fighting with one on top choking the other. The officer located the residence and found the two parties involved, as well as the juvenile caller. A woman and her adult child had reportedly become involved in a physical altercation after an argument. He took the suspect, Alexander, into custody and is seeking a domestic assault charge.

Aug. 25

2:40 a.m.: Brandon Thoennes, 21, of the 300 block of West 36th Street Terrace, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. An officer stopped two vehicles near West 20th Street and South Kentucky Avenue for failing to stop at a stop sign. Investigation reportedly revealed one of the drivers, Thoennes, was under the influence of alcohol. The officer conducted DWI tests, arrested him and released him from the Pettis County Jail with a municipal court date.

9 p.m.: William Charles Mulcrone, 49, of the 1300 block of Boonville Road, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. An officer stopped Mulcrone’s vehicle near East Main Street and South Lamine Avenue. Investigation reportedly revealed Mulcrone was in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Arrests

Aug. 25

8:20 a.m.: Russell Lawson was arrested on charges of burglary, assault and resisting arrest. Deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress in the 34000 block of Route KK. After investigation, deputies arrested Lawson in connection with the reported burglary.

Arrests

Aug. 24

12:15 p.m.: Michael W. Campbell, 48, of Manhattan, Kansas, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and expired registration. Troopers also served a Clay County felony warrant.

2:50 p.m.: Courdavon D. Davis, 20, of Columbia, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of speeding, driving with a revoked license and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

4:20 p.m.: Ashley M. Milano, 29, of Yoe, Pennsylvania, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of felony resisting arrest, felony leaving the scene of a crash, driving without a valid license, not having insurance, and careless and imprudent driving.

Aug. 25

2:40 p.m.: Ruth G. Crichton, 20, of Independence, was arrested in Saline County on charges of felony resisting arrest by fleeing creating a substantial risk of serious injury, false impersonation, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, minor in possession of alcohol, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.

9:30 p.m.: Timothy W. Schwartz, 22, of Lincoln, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:25 p.m.: Alan S. Springer, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
