Three Nebraskans hurt in Henry accident

Two cars collided at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in Henry County, injuring an adult and two children.

Thad A. Potter, 53, of Deepwater, was driving east on Southwest 450th Road when he reached an intersection with state Route 13, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. He failed to yield to a southbound car, and the two vehicles collided.

Potter was unhurt in the accident. Three people from Omaha, Nebraska, were injured in the southbound vehicle. The driver, Valerie A. Brizendine, 60, and two children, Delaney R. Neitzel, 13, and Carsyn Z. Neitzel, 12, had minor injuries. All three went by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Every driver and passenger involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt.

Woman injured in rear-end collision

A Stover woman was hurt in a rear-end collision at 5 p.m. Thursday in Morgan County.

Victoria L. Holloway, 51, was a passenger in a north-facing truck stopped to make a left turn at Route 135 and Buttons Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Jeremiah F. Gingerich, 17, of Stover, was traveling north and struck the stopped vehicle.

Holloway was wearing a seat belt and had minor injuries. The person driving the truck, Guy W. Hontz, 64, of Stover, was unhurt. Gingerich was also uninjured.

An ambulance took Holloway to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.
