One hurt in rear-end collision 

A Deepwater man received medical treatment after a rear-end collision Wednesday in Henry County. 

Lance M. Klinksick, 49, was stopped on the Grand River Bridge at 3:10 p.m. after his truck lost an unsecured load while traveling south on state Route 13, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Crystal A. Booker, 43, of Deepwater, was unable to stop before striking the rear of Klinksick’s vehicle.

Klinksick was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and had minor injuries. He received medical treatment at the scene.

Teenager hurt in Moniteau County 

A teenager was hurt in a two-vehicle collision at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County. 

Kaitlynn M. Matchett, 18, of Jamestown, was making a left turn from a field entrance almost 480 feet from Schoenthal Road onto state Route 87, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. She pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Gary L. Schoenthal, 71, of Prairie Home. 

Both Matchett and Schoenthal were wearing a seat belt. Matchett had minor injuries and received treatment at the scene from ambulance personnel. 

Chicago man seriously injured on I-70 

A Chicago man is in serious condition following a collision with a semi-truck in Saline County on Thursday. 

The accident occurred at 2:29 a.m. as the semi-truck was traveling in the right lane of westbound Interstate 70, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. 

Almazbek Muminov, 42, overtook and struck the back of the truck, causing him serious injuries. The semi-truck driver, Julius S. Kamara, 51, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was unhurt. Both were wearing a seat belt during the collision.

The Sweet Springs Ambulance District took Muminov to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
