This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 3

1:05 a.m.: An assault was reported on the 900 block of Westwood Drive. After an investigation, it was determined that an assault had occurred. The victim wanted to pursue charges. Haley R. Wilson, 25, of Westwood Drive, was arrested for felony third-degree domestic assault.

9:59 p.m.: An officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for having a license plate that was registered to another vehicle in the area of South Missouri Avenue and West Seventh Street. A check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was also in possession of a handgun and a prohibited style of knife. Johnnie R. Adams, 41, of the 3100 block of Oak Brook Circle, was arrested for unlawful possession of a concealable weapon and driving while suspended.

July 4

2:13 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a subject check in the area of Brandon Avenue. The officer spoke with the subject and an investigation revealed they were in possession of methamphetamine. Zachary T. Fischer, 24, of the 2700 block of Wabash Drive, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

9:46 p.m.: An officer was at a business on the 800 block of East Broadway Avenue when they recognized someone who had a warrant. A computer check revealed the individual had no bond probation/parole warrant. An investigation revealed the subject was in possession of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. Kevin A. Clark, 39, of Hughesville, was arrested for a warrant, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

July 3

1:12 p.m.: Sedalia police took a report of a hit and run accident that occurred on Thompson Boulevard, south of West Broadway Boulevard. A vehicle was sitting on Thompson Blvd., waiting for a traffic light when they were struck by a white Ford F150 which left the scene without reporting the accident. There was no suspect information at the time of the police report.

July 4

11:06 p.m.: A person came to the police station to report that someone broke into their storage unit on South Normandy Road and took several items valued at $800.

Arrests

July 4

5:37 p.m.: Bryan C. Fuhler, 22, of St. Peters, was arrested in Morgan County for personal watercraft operator failing to wear flotation device and boating while intoxicated.

7:27 p.m.: Todd A. Hendrix, 47, of St. Louis, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident,

10:15 p.m.: Michael M. Baer, 22, of Kansas, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
