Montrose man in serious condition after Henry County cow strike

Nicholas A. Turner, 29, of Montrose, sustained serious injuries at 4 a.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Turner was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot east on Missouri Highway 52 when he struck a cow in the roadway. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Turner was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Two in serious condition after Morgan County crash

Linda K. Tweed, 75, of Linn Creek, sustained serious injuries, Woodrow M. Tweed, 75, also of Linn Creek, sustained minor injuries, and Charles R. Borum, 68, of Versailles, sustained serious injuries at noon Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Toyota Tacoma driven by Woodrow Tweed was waiting for a 2021 John Deere farm tractor driven by Borum which was attempting to make a left turn off Missouri Highway 5. A 2016 GMC Canyon also driven south by Roy L. Poynter, 71, of Sedalia, failed to yield and struck the rear of the Tacoma, which struck the rear of the John Deere tractor and overturned. The Tacoma also overturned.

Linda Tweed and Roy Poynter were the only ones wearing seat belts, Borum was transported by ambulance to Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson City. The Tweeds were transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Camdenton woman injured in Morgan impaired driving accident

Kandy L. Wheeler, 63, of Camdenton, suffered moderate injuries at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wheeler was driving a 2008 Ford Edge east on state Route J when she traveled through the intersection, off the east side of the highway, went airborne, struck the ground then a fence.

Wheeler was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Following care, Wheeler was arrested for DWI, persistent offender, driving with a revoked driver's license, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident, no seat belts, and no insurance. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
