This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 30

2:29 p.m.: Tatiana Lara Monroy, 24, of the 1200 block of Elm Hills Boulevard, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Saline Road and Albright Court on a vehicle with expired registration. Officers discovered Monroy had a suspended license. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to register annually with the Department of Revenue.

May 6

2:29 p.m.: Brenden M. Price, 26, of the 900 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop at West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue on a vehicle without registration. Officers discovered Price had a revoked license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Incidents

April 28

2:46 p.m.: Officers responded to the SPD lobby for a report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred overnight in the 300 block of West Fourth Street. Information was gathered from the victim and a witness. A report was completed.

May 2

4:42 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of Clinton Road for a report of property damage. A Tyson semi-trailer caused damage to the facility. Officers gathered information, documented the damages and a report was completed.

May 6

6:08 p.m.: Officers in the SPD lobby took a report of fraud in the 900 block of Royal Boulevard. A female subject said someone used her information to take out a loan. The suspect is unknown at this time. Officers gathered information for a report.

6:58 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Montgomery Avenue regarding two dogs with possible aggressive behavior running around the neighborhood. Officers located the dogs in the 1900 block of South Montgomery. They attempted to contact the home’s residents, but the dogs on the property became aggressive. Officers stepped off the property, but while waiting for information about the homeowner, a dog bit an officer. The bite did not need medical attention and Animal Control arrived at the residence at a later time. The dog was not located.

9:56 p.m.: Officers responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a dog bite. They made contact with the man, who said he was attacked by a dog in the area of 16th Street and Wagner Avenue. Officers gathered information for a report.

May 7

12:15 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to Vermont Park, West 14th Street and South Vermont Avenue, about a previous assault. They spoke with the victim and gathered information for a report. A city summons will be issued for the assault and for being in the park after hours.

Incidents

May 6

9:45 p.m.: A deputy was dispatched to a residence facility in the 3000 block of Brooking Park Boulevard for an assault report. An older man was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center with injuries. A younger man was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of second-degree assault - special victim.
