Two injured in Johnson County tire blow-out, rollover

Mykaelah K. Williams, 27, of Sedalia, sustained serious injuries and Alex R. Elliott, 38, of Warrensburg, sustained moderate injuries at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Elliott was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 South on Missouri Highway 58 when a tire blew out he jerked the steering wheel to the right over corrected and the vehicle slid off the left side of the roadway impacting and embankment overturning.

Williams was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected through the passenger side window. She was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri medical Center in Warrensburg, as was Elliot, who was wearing a seat belt.

Marshall driver hurt in Saline County accident

Shane R. Gooden, 48, of Marshall, sustained minor injuries at 8 p.m. Wednesday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Kortney C. Crick, 40, of Warrensburg, abruptly slowed to make a u-turn in the roadway on I-70 eastbound and was struck in the driver’s door by a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Gooden.

It is unknown if Crick was wearing a seat belt, Gooden was and was transported by Sweet Springs EMS to University Hospital in Columbia.
