Centerview man in serious condition after Johnson County accident

James H. Ries, 24, of Centerview, sustained serious injuries at 9:08 a.m. Monday in Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ries was driving a 2010 Volkswagen west on U.S. Highway 50 and struck a 2017 Chevrolet also driven west by Michaela J. Tevis, 27, of Kingsville. The Volkswagen then overturned, coming to rest in a ditch.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Reeves was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Poplar Bluff man hurt in Moniteau County accident

Aaron L. Hicks, 52, of Poplar Bluff, sustained minor injuries at 10:05 p.m. Thursday in a Moniteau County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hicks was driving a 2007 Kia Sorento east on U.S. Highway 50 and fell asleep. His vehicle traveled off the side of the roadway, became airborne, and overturned.

Hicks was wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs.

Pedestrian in serious condition after Morgan County accident

Brian E. Baker, 37, of Millstadt, Illinois, sustained serious injuries at 1:19 a.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Dodge 4500 driven east on Everglade Road was stopped while the pedestrian, Brian Baker, who had been driving, exited the vehicle. The vehicle rolled forward and Ashley A. Baker tried to control the vehicle. She was not successful and the vehicle struck Brian Baker.

Brian Baker was transported by troopers to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Both Brian and Ashley were arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Two from Florence receive minor injuries in Morgan County accident

Emma R. Cline, 29, and Hunter N. Cline, 29, both of Florence, sustained minor injuries at 4 p.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hunter Klein was preparing to make a left turn in a 2009 Toyota Camry onto U.S. Highway 50 at South Fork Lane when his vehicle was struck by a westbound 2002 Ford Ranger driven by a 16-year-old male from Crocker.

The Clines were wearing seat belts and were transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs by Mid-Mo Ambulance District.

Marshall man in serious condition after Saline County accident

Danny L. Auer, 52, of Marshall, sustained serious injuries at 4:45 p.m. Friday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Auer was driving a 1931 Ford truck south on Highway 65 when he left the roadway and the vehicle overturned.

It's unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. Auer was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Saline County Ambulance District.
