Woman hurt in Henry crash

A Deepwater woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4 p.m. Christmas Day in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Monty G. Moss, 28, of Deepwater, was driving north on Southwest 351 Road, south of state Route T, when he lost control of his vehicle on the gravel and it traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

His passenger, 29-year-old Kassandra N. Nappier, of Deepwater, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with minor injuries.

Man arrested for DWI in Johnson

A Lee’s Summit man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bradford H. Ferbet, 44, was driving east on U.S. Route 50 at Northwest 671st Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and became airborne. While airborne, it struck two road signs, flipped end over end, and came to rest in the westbound lanes.

Ferbet, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.

According to an MSHP arrest report, Ferbet was arrested for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.

Two hurt in Benton accident

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:50 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Derek D. Tumbleson, 42, of Joplin, was driving south on state Route 83, just north of state Route 82. Brian D. Crowl, 65, of Quincy, was also headed south but was stopped and partially blocking the southbound lane of Route 83. Tumbleson’s vehicle impacted Crowl’s towed unit, causing the towed unit to strike a pedestrian, 42-year-old Ronald D. Crowl, of Bates City.

Ronald Crowl suffered serious injuries and was taken by Cox Air Care to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. A 12-year-old male in Tumbleson’s vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was taken by the Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Citizens Memorial Hospital.
